“Fear is Stronger Than Love.” -Tupac
“Fear is stronger than love.” These words were spoken by the late great Tupac Shakur. From the outside looking in, these just seem to be words giving a comparison of sorts. It’s only when you truly dissect these words that you get a more meaningful view on what he meant. Different people take different meanings from different things. Meaning, the way you view the world is probably due to your background, upbringing, and values instilled in you as a child. This quote meant more to me than just the words, I found meaning and something I could relate to in it. Majority of people would say “No, Love is stronger than fear”, I’m not one of those people. Some people you love and give fame to may love you but also fear you. You can take care of them/give them the world. They love you for it but still might fear you. That fear can cause them to harm you because they want what you have. They feel you have power over them because you gave them what they have. Another example, , say there’s a kid in a High School with ALL the athletic talent in the world and a love for the game. He’s a freshman and all he ever wanted to do was play sports in High School, but he has a fear that he may not make the team. Instead of just trying out and seeing if he’d make it, he’d rather not try out at all. His fear of failing was stronger than his will to succeed and love of the game.
